Fondazione Un raggio di luce Onlus primarily operates in the field of international cooperation with countries in the Global South. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for the most disadvantaged communities through direct actions and aid.

The primary beneficiaries are women and children, particularly in the African continent. The areas of activity include microcredit, agriculture and livestock, housing and essential infrastructure construction, water, energy, and communication, healthcare, education and social activities, as well as long-distance adoptions.
